My "nephew" Ben...

TGIF!!!....this has been a long stressful week, full of hurt feelings, messed up computer connections, and just blah stuff...I am GLAD it is done with!
I have a couple things I would like to ask for any of you who pray, to be praying in agreement with me on...
1. The DiabeticMommy.com group is having their first get-together this weekend :) it is going to be in Las Vegas and people are flying/driving in from all over the country to go there! (I could not go, but my heart is there)...please be praying for their safe journeys, fun while they are there, and safe return to their homes :)
2. this one is VERY important to me...one of my dearest friends, Melissa, is a mommy who has a son with diabetes, Ben....A little background...Ben is 5 yrs old (just turned 5 in march), has been dealing with diabetes since he was 2...Melissa has helped me through so many aspects of my life, diabetes being part of that...His blood sugar is always teetering and hard to control, but for the last week they have been dangerously high on a continuous basis (he was in DKA last week...that is what causes people to go into diabetic coma...Ben did not, but the threat is there when your sugars are that high consistently)....also he has been spilling blood in his urine (i know not a nice subject, but this is really serious)...they tested him for infection, nothing....after his appt. today they fear that his kidneys may be struggling....I am attaching a pic of precious Ben....He is a li'l prayer warrior, he is a lover, he is a snuggle bug, and he is his family's (real life family and online family) pride and joy and absolute inspiration and even "mascot"....I know in my heart that Godhas big plans for Ben....please pray for his health, his family's (esp momma's) strength, and God's peace and understanding to fall on everyone touched by Ben....

Taking One More Step...

While commenting on some layouts at Scrapbook-Bytes I came across a quote that really stuck with me yesterday...."Faith is going to the edge of all you have and then taking one more step..."
how wonderful is that?!...it seems so simple, so obvious, yet in our lives how often do we find ourselves standing on that edge, toes dangling over, and because of fear or doubt or anger we take a step BACK instead of taking "one more step" toward what we need/want/dream?.....Dare to dream today, then have the faith in God, in yourself, in life to just take that one step!
I am helping out at our church's Vacation Bible School this week so my blog will probably get neglected a bit this week, but I am going to try to be more consistent starting next week :)...

Bread Crumbs.....

lol that is what I feel like I am leaving! bread crumbs so that all y'all can find your way back to my blog occasionally!...
SO for being so wonderful, for posting comments, and for just being over all MARY POPPINS (practically perfect in every way), I am leaving a chunk of scrapping bread as opposed to a crumb :)
I feel like God poured out about 100 blessings at one time on me and I am a bit overwhelmed as to how to handle it!...I have loved Scrapbook-bytes.com ever since I started digiscrapping (Thank You Jessicca for getting me HOOKED), always wanted to do something on there besides just attend and participate (lol i wanted to be on SOME sort of team)....I have always wished that I had a blog that people actually liked going to, reading, or even just getting a freebie from....I have always wished Mike (my dh) would acknowledge that I MIGHT be able to do something that a lot of people would enjoy and not think it was just some "stupid" hobby....all those things have started happening this past week! and I just wanted to take a minute to thank God for that.....
I reconnected with a scrapping friend whom I had lost touch with (Love ya Beth), I have made it a point to read Barb's Blog every day because it is something that lifts my mood and strengthens my Spirit...and gives some adorable freebies :D
Starting tomorrow (errr...um...today) I am going to get back on a schedule...one that involves more time with God and more time letting Him work in me, on me, and through me....man He has His work cut out for Him :P...
I have one more add on after this one, then i will be "retiring" Cardboard Moon.....hopefully some of you will be able to find a use for it and get much joy and great layouts done using it ;D...
any other suggestions for themes? I am in the process of trying to find a copyright/royalty free pic(s) of potty chairs for a kit I want to finish for Tink and for a fellow scrapper....

Just a quick bit :)

I have not posted since the 8th because something amazing happened!!!! (not that amazing things don't happen in my life every day, but this was EXCEPTIONALLY amazing!)
I became part of the Team at www.Scrapbook-bytes.com !!!! I am SO excited and i REALLY hope some of you will c'mon over and support me in my chats and challenges on that board!

At this point I am only hosting the "Leavin' Some Lovin'" challenge (you get a freebie for simply playing our praise game!)...but starting next week I am hoping to have weekly (or twice weekly) chats!!!! what could be more fun?! me, chat, freebies, inspiration all rolled into one hour?! c'mon you know you wanna join in! :P...ok ok i will settle down :P

I did come up with a small add on to my Cardboard Moon mini-kit (still available in June 8th 2007 post)....sometimes there is not a full moon so I made 2 crescent moons to hang stuff from if ya like! If you have any other carboard creations you would like to see or if you have any ideas for other freebies that you can't seem to find, LET ME KNOW :)...

Cardboard Moon :)

Hello all :)! I was working on a layout for an ezine challenge yesterday and made a few things to use in my layout....after the effort, it seemed pointless to just use it once and then leave it sitting in my external hard drive for eternity, so I decided to zip it up and give it away as a freebie :)...

I really hope there is some interest in taking it :D and if there is I would LOVE to see what you have done with it!
