Don't forget to grab the freebie....

from the 18th!!! it is being taken off my freebie list after TODAY!!!!!.....

I actually completed a couple layouts this week also :)...one using my kit, the other just using some stuff i made on the side :)

This is my lil sister, my 2 nephews, and my brother-in-law directly after their wedding a little over a week ago :)...

This is my middle Young'un, Elijah, with a lil "friend" his brother caught in Canada whilst on vacation in 2003...lol good thing i am not TOO scared of snakes ;)

**updated**
Both my boys just got home from their first day of school for the year....
It was Lane's first day of 7th grade (first year of Jr. High at their school) and Elijah's first day of 3rd grade....
I was so anxious about Lane's first day...worrying how he would adjust to getting his locker open, getting from class to class, fitting in with his friends from last year, meeting so many new teachers, being the "lil dawgs" of the school again.....but as he got on the bus *at 6:45 a.m.*, even though my heart tugged, I thought "ok that wasn't SO bad..."....until...................
I was standing at the end of the driveway taking pictures of Elijah, waiting for HIS bus to come at 8:05. He was REALLY antsy, squirmin, wouldn't hold still, pacing....and he said "mom, today is my first day having to get on the bus on my own...and having to ride to school on my own...and having to wait for the bell to ring on my own...and being in the school on my own...and having to get back on the bus on my own...and having to ride back home on my own...and having to get off of the bus all on my own...".....
I about cried! in all the hub-bub of realizing how "grown up" Lane was getting, I totally over looked what a huge milestone this was for Elijah!!! Here he has always been "Lane's li'l brother" at their school and on the bus...now he is "Elijah"......he is on a path to becoming himself, to growing up, to being independent! And although he said he was excited, I could hear that lil echo of self-doubt in his voice that said "can i really do all this ON MY OWN?!"...
Proudly I can say both boys had a great day, and momma got the house clean whilst Tink slept....
sigh, yeah all is well that ends well ;)

Hi Fantacy - Love your layouts!

awwww its so hard those first days of school... but you'll all settle into it. Your journalling of this milestone really tugged at my heart! You simply MUST do layouts with those sentiments on them!

Our daughter just turned 24 today - trust me, the years fly by. I recently read a neat saying, which comes to mind to share with you, about kids and growin up.... "they days are LONG, but the years are SHORT..."

I will pray for your children to settle in nicely. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us readers! You always bring a happy thought to my day.

hugs

I love the LOs!!!! I'm so glad your kids are doing so well. I've started to school, but my boys don't go until Monday. My oldest will be a senior. My middle a 7th grader and my youngest a second grader! They don't seem to need me as much as they used to! LOL!

ok, I am so not ready for them to go back to school in 1.5 weeks, if I'm gonna be anything like you were! Thankfully Cody doesn't move to the "big school" until next year, no Jr. Highs here. But he will be the big guy at school this year, hopefully he isn't too bad. lol And Jenna is like Elijah, in grade three. And *sniff*, Xander starts Kindergarten!! ACK! Only one left at home!
