My "nephew" Ben...

TGIF!!!....this has been a long stressful week, full of hurt feelings, messed up computer connections, and just blah stuff...I am GLAD it is done with!
I have a couple things I would like to ask for any of you who pray, to be praying in agreement with me on...
1. The DiabeticMommy.com group is having their first get-together this weekend :) it is going to be in Las Vegas and people are flying/driving in from all over the country to go there! (I could not go, but my heart is there)...please be praying for their safe journeys, fun while they are there, and safe return to their homes :)
2. this one is VERY important to me...one of my dearest friends, Melissa, is a mommy who has a son with diabetes, Ben....A little background...Ben is 5 yrs old (just turned 5 in march), has been dealing with diabetes since he was 2...Melissa has helped me through so many aspects of my life, diabetes being part of that...His blood sugar is always teetering and hard to control, but for the last week they have been dangerously high on a continuous basis (he was in DKA last week...that is what causes people to go into diabetic coma...Ben did not, but the threat is there when your sugars are that high consistently)....also he has been spilling blood in his urine (i know not a nice subject, but this is really serious)...they tested him for infection, nothing....after his appt. today they fear that his kidneys may be struggling....I am attaching a pic of precious Ben....He is a li'l prayer warrior, he is a lover, he is a snuggle bug, and he is his family's (real life family and online family) pride and joy and absolute inspiration and even "mascot"....I know in my heart that Godhas big plans for Ben....please pray for his health, his family's (esp momma's) strength, and God's peace and understanding to fall on everyone touched by Ben....

Ok now to the scraps! :)
many people have emailed or commented that they only got parts of the Cardboard Moon Kit, so i decided to put them all in one easy peasy place! just click on the pic for the link :)...and PLEASE, I am loving the layouts that people have sent me, email me (fantacydawn @ yahoo "dot" com...you know how to type it the right way *smiles*) so I can see any you have done! I have added some (and have some to add yet) to my Braggin Blog :) so go check it out...

Also here is the start to another lil kit called Fantacy's Garden....(of course a FREEBIE li'l kit :P)...all i ask is that you leave a comment, and if you are praying for ben, you can leave some love for him instead of a "thanks for the gift" comment :)....and just remember every time you use or see these little pieces of today's freebie (1 doodle and 1 lined paper) take a second to think about Ben and say a li'l "God have your hand on Ben today :)".....Just click on the preview for the freebie link :)

I could not find your email address...

I hope you don't mind that I am notifying you this way, but I wanted to tell you about my new freebie forum.

Ever since Digi Debz fell off the face of the earth, I have missed the forum, so I started my own.

Your designs are wonderful and you would be such an asset to the Forum!

If designers post here, freebie seekers will come!

Please come and check it out at: http://scrapperdesign.com/forum.

What a way to drive scrappers to your blog/web site!

Hope to see you there!

Hugs!

My prayers are with Ben, who looks like such a sweet child. His challenges make our daily struggles seem insignificant by comparison. Thanks for sharing the garden doodle. . .and I will think of and pray for Ben every time I see it!

Having had diabetes for 20 years, I know how hard it is to control and the ramifications when you cannot. May God be with Ben.

Thank you for the doodle & paper.

Thank you for sharing with us. You are such a caring person and I will certainly pray for Ben. I, too, have diabetes and know what problems it can bring. Keep the faith.

Prayers are with Ben. My very best friend is a diabetic and have gone through many reactions with her. Know how scary it is to see what happens.
